Spa and Salon Solutions
The first example is a new salon franchise that knew a mobile app would deliver a high-end modernized client experience, a critical differentiator in today’s competitive market. In addition to making it easy to book appointments and purchase beauty products, the app would drive vital new business to their franchise by making it easy (and providing an incentive) for clients to refer the app to their friends.
In our second example, we look at a spa in Texas. After two years of fast growth, they were looking for a way to grow take their business to the next level. They knew that having a reward program delivered through a mobile app was an effective way to build customer loyalty and increase revenue. After all, it costs five times more to acquire a new customer than to keep an existing one. In addition, companies with strong loyalty marketing programs grow revenues 2.5 times faster than their competitors and generate 100-400% higher returns.
While both of these small businesses might be similar, their needs were completely different. We used mix and match features to build them custom solutions that perfectly fit their specific needs. Below are some of those features.
Customizable Shop
We began by adding a completely customized shop to create an end-to-end buying experience for the salon’s customers. We included features such as product search and filters, a custom shop to display product descriptions and photos, and notifications to keep customers in the know of sales and limited-time offers. Products are managed with a backend shop manager that allows the salon to easily update, swap, and remove items.
Appointment Booking
We then created an appointment booking feature to streamline booking and make appointment management easier. With the app, the salon was able to set its hours and availability and automatically accept new appointments. Customers are now able to see what days/times are vacant and set appointments without the need to call. The salon is also able to move, cancel, and manage appointments with the backend manager.
Customizable Loyalty Program
Setting up a loyalty program allowed the spa client to improve their repeat business. The loyalty program features a display of current points, parameters for earning points, a point tracker to show the next available reward, and a point history display. It also allows the spa to send promotional messages and updates about points and available rewards that can easily be managed with the new backend manager.
Referral Rewards
Integrated within the loyalty program is a referral program. This allows users to send custom codes to their friends in exchange for rewards, allowing the spa to expand the reach of their word-of-mouth marketing efforts. The page was fully customized to match the spa’s branding - rounding out the functionality of their new custom app.
